I have had many pets in the past, both cats and dogs, and there was always a special stocking with their name on it at Christmas from myearliest memories at my parents house. In fact some of the edible or squeaky toys like dog bones, or squeakers were gift wrapped and given to the pet like you would a small child so they could tear off the wrapper themselves.

You are not alone Rachel. THe dogs and Cats each get a stocking every year and presents under the tree filled with goodies

Don’t feel alone. Your co-worker is just jealous that she doesn’t have a stocking at your house , nor does she get pampered like your four legged furry childre

You have co-workers with no imagination! In my house, the fur kids open presents before we do, and of course they all have their own stockings!

I do its fun for me I have three dogs. I have a fish too and I gave it one of my old socks and put some fish med and food in there, then all my pets had a christmas. So.. your not crazy and I'm not ether even if I did give my fish a stocking.

We do it too. We put a little toy in each one, and treats, and a bone, this year will be the first Christmas for our Great dane and our Pom./maltese mix. We don't have any kids, so our dogs are our babies! So I don't think you are crazy!

I did that once for my black lab when he was a pup. The next morning when my daughter went to get her stocking she noticed her puppy stocking was wet and chewed up. he came in the living room during the night and ate every treat that was in there right throw the stocking. But you are not crazy! But my dog is LOL Now we just give him a treats on Christmas day.

My parents have a stocking for hte cat(s) that says "Cats love Christmas too!" and it gets hung over the mantle.

You aren’t weird – lots of people do it – and you have now given lots of people the idea to do it

I think your coworker is crazy if she thinks it's crazy for your animals to have Christmas stockings! Everyone I know who has pets has stockings for them!!!! We have lots of animals, and everytime we adopt another one, my husband adds another hook to the fireplace mantel. Good for you for sticking up for your pets!
